Crain Caton & James is pleased to announce Tricia N. Atchison and Greg S. DeVries have joined the Banking and Financial Services Practice Area as litigators. Prior to going to law school, Tricia spent over 15 years as a banker. Greg has extensive experience advising clients on matters resulting from various federal and state banking laws.
Tricia’s real world experience allows her to give clients practical advice on complicated banking issues. As a chief credit officer and risk management officer, she has walked the halls of balancing risk and customer service. She knows the importance of the interaction between the laws, customers, and bank.
Tricia received her JD from South Texas College of Law, her MBA with a focus on Banking from Sam Houston State University, and her BS in Finance and Banking (Magna cum Laude) from Sam Houston University.
Greg frequently advises clients in matters involving the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), as well as suits based on alleged violations of the Texas Constitution’s provisions on home equity lending, and other Federal and State statutes. He also assists banks needing counsel on UCC 3.4 and 4A matters.
Greg received his JD from South Texas College of Law and his BA in Journalism from Baylor University.
