The 2023 Bike MS Valero Ride has come to a triumphant close, and it’s time to celebrate the incredible achievement of those who took part in this inspiring event. Cyclists from all walks of life, including our own Amber Homolka, came together to pedal their way toward a brighter future, raising awareness and vital funds for those affected by multiple sclerosis.
Amber completed the two-day ride from Alamo City to New Braunfels by riding 71 miles on Day 1 and 38 miles on Day 2, all with a mountain bike and a ten-year-old helmet. When asked what she would do differently next year, she said “I may upgrade my gear.” This may be an excellent investment since she plans to ride in the 2024 MS bike ride from Houston to Austin. It is with great pride and admiration that we congratulate Amber and other riders on their determination, hard work, and unwavering support for the cause.
The Valero MS Bike Ride is not just any ordinary cycling event. It’s an annual fundraiser that plays a crucial role in the fight against multiple sclerosis. Every dollar raised helps to fund research, provide vital services, and ultimately brings us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis.
