Houston, TX, June 30, 2020:  Crain Caton & James announced today that Will Stafford joined the Firm’s Corporate Business Transactions and Tax Practice Group as Of Counsel and Rebecca D. Grant joined the Fiduciary Litigation and Probate, Trust and Guardianship Practice Groups as an associate.

Will has developed a broad corporate practice, with an emphasis on securities offerings, business transactions, and general corporate governance. He has extensive experience representing individuals, public and private companies, financial institutions and local governments in a wide variety of matters including capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, early-stage and venture capital investments, technology transactions, commercial contracts, securities regulation and compliance, corporate structuring and formation, and general corporate matters.

Will received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he was Managing Editor of the Journal of International Law.  He received his M.A. in Policy Economics and B.S. in Economics from Tulane University.

Jeffrey I. Horowitz, Executive Committee member and shareholder in the Real Estate and Corporate Business Transactions Practices, states that “Will’s vast experience in securities offerings and business transactions adds significant depth to our existing corporate services.”

Rebecca practices in the areas of estate and probate administration, guardianship proceedings, mental health commitments, and fiduciary litigation, representing executors, administrators, guardians or families seeking to establish guardianships over their loved ones. She also represents clients litigating matters like will contests and contested guardianships.

She joined Crain Caton & James after a few years of practice, having gained invaluable experience working in the Harris County Probate Court System as a Litigation Staff Attorney for both the Hon. Judge Rory Olsen and Hon. Judge Jason Cox.

Rebecca received her J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center and her B.S. in Social Work at Brigham Young University in Idaho.
