Crain Caton & James Shareholder, Mindy M. Riseden, will serve a second term on the SMU Dedman School of Law Emerging Leader Board (ELB).  These law school leaders are asked to provide feedback on important issues and assist with continued efforts to increase alumni engagement. The ELB is comprised of 32 alumni who graduated in the past 20 years, have a proven record of success in the legal profession, and a strong dedication to public service. Members represent a variety employment backgrounds and law school classes.

 

Mindy focuses her practice on commercial litigation, with emphasis on the trial level.  During her more than fifteen years of practicing law, she has provided counsel to individuals, local businesses, national corporations, and multinational organizations in disputes involving partnerships, insurance brokerage, employment related, trustee/fiduciary, real estate, contract, eminent domain, construction, and personal injury.  When not consumed with areas of commercial litigation, Mindy enjoys working with pro bono clients, especially children needing a voice and guidance through the legal system.

 

Mindy was recently elected to the Firm’s Executive Committee which provides leadership and guidance for Firm operations. She was selected to be on the Top Lawyers List in Houston by H Texas Magazine from 2016-2020.
