Lexi Lora-Whitmer is a dedicated family law attorney at Crain Caton & James, where she focuses on guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging legal disputes, including divorce, child custody battles, and property distribution. Lexi walks her clients through each step of the legal process—whether it’s during discovery, pre-trial planning, or document preparation—ensuring they feel informed and supported every step of the way.
Before joining Crain Caton & James, Lexi gained valuable experience defending claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA), which allowed her to develop a strong foundation in complex legal issues and client advocacy.
Lexi’s passion for legal advocacy began during law school, where she was involved in the advocacy program and participated in numerous moot court competitions. She was awarded Best Oral Advocate in the Appellate Lawyers Association’s annual moot court competition. Her talent in legal writing also earned her induction into the National Order of Scribes Class of 2022, an honor recognizing law students who excel in legal writing.
In addition to her legal practice, Lexi is committed to mentoring the next generation of attorneys. She coaches moot court competitions for South Texas College of Law, sharing her expertise and passion for advocacy with students, helping them sharpen their skills and prepare for future success in the courtroom.
