Jennifer Varadi focuses her entire legal practice on family matters, including but not limited to, high net worth divorces, child custody and child support matters. Additionally, she has valuable experience in complex property issues and preparing premarital agreements and post-marital agreements, which help her clients determine their rights regarding property and support when the marriage ends by death or divorce. She is adept at litigation, but as a certified and experienced mediator, her approach is to resolve cases using the best strategies possible and she understands that the best results may be reached without stepping into a courtroom, including child custody arrangements personalized to the individual family and a division of assets and liabilities that set the client on a path for future success.

Premarital Agreements

In this educational video, attorney Jennifer Varadi discusses the importance of premarital agreements, also known as prenups, for couples planning their future together. These legal contracts outline how assets, debts, and financial responsibilities will be managed during marriage and in the event of a divorce. Premarital agreements are tailored to each couple’s unique situation and can protect both parties, clarify financial expectations, and ensure both partners are on the same page regarding property or debts. In Texas, such agreements must be in writing, signed voluntarily, and both parties must disclose their financial situations. They can address property division and spousal support but not child custody or support. Timing is crucial, and consulting a legal professional is recommended to navigate the complexities and ensure the agreement is enforceable.
