Kristina Villarin joins the firm with a professional background that distinguishes her from the typical associate. Before entering the legal field, Kristina spent a decade in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2021, navigating complex financial environments in senior accounting roles. This experience provides her with a practical understanding of business operations and a high level of comfort with the technical material that often forms the backbone of commercial litigation.
Kristina is already well-versed in the role of a defender. Throughout her career in finance, she was responsible for safeguarding compliance and represented organizational interests during external audits and regulatory reviews. She is accustomed to working in high-stakes environments and maintaining accuracy under scrutiny. In a litigation context, this translates to a disciplined approach to discovery; she is uniquely equipped to identify and analyze critical information within voluminous evidentiary material and corporate records.
Her transition to law is marked by significant academic achievement, South Texas College of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and ranked in the top 5% of her class. Kristina has also gained practical courtroom perspective through a judicial internship in the 280th District Court and hands-on experience in a domestic violence clinic. These roles refined her ability to communicate complex information clearly and handle sensitive matters with professional rigor and human kindness. Kristina offers our clients a sophisticated, detail-oriented approach to litigation and a career-long dedication to defending client interests.
