When you are negotiating a real estate lease, Stephen Uzick is the attorney you want on your team. He has advised and assisted with a wide variety of commercial leases, including negotiating and drafting leases, amendments, assignments, and terminations. Stephen is experienced in reviewing, analyzing, preparing, and negotiating various agreements and instruments relating to leasing or other forms of occupancy including letters of intent, ground leases, assignments, subleases, renewals and amendments, workouts in and out of bankruptcy, SNDAs, estoppels, license agreements, temporary workspace agreements, and other similar instruments and agreements. Stephen also assisted in the purchase and sale of properties valued at over $50,000,000.
Before joining Crain Caton & James, Stephen worked inhouse for several property management companies. This allowed him to see the world from the perspective of the lessor/lessee and buyer/seller. He is comfortable dealing with operating budgets, the daily management and operations of budgets, overseeing maintenance, repair and capital projects, and handling disputes.
Having Stephen on your team allows you to do what you do best – run your business – while he takes care of the legal requirements of the business.
When not practicing law, Stephen enjoys watching local Houston sports teams and chasing around and coaching T-ball, soccer, and everything else for his two young boys.
