Houston (September 1, 2020) – Crain Caton & James is pleased to announce that Peter G. Nemeth has been named Chairman of the Firm’s Executive Committee and President of the Firm, and that Mindy McGehee Riseden has been elected to the Firm’s Executive Committee.
Peter has 35 years of legal experience, during which time he has built a robust transactional practice. His clients include publicly held and privately owned businesses as well as governmental entities, with a focus on complex commercial transactions, real estate and finance. During his time with the Firm, Peter also served as general counsel for the largest nuclear power generator in Texas.
Executive Committee member Jeffrey I. Horowitz states, “I can’t think of anyone more qualified than Peter to lead the firm during these challenging times. His vision, experience, demeanor and professional skills will help ensure the Firm’s continued success.”
Mindy has spent more than 17 years avidly representing clients in the courtroom. Her practice is focused on commercial litigation, with emphasis on the trial level. Mindy has provided counsel to individuals, local businesses, national corporations, and multinational organizations in disputes involving partnerships, insurance brokerage, employment, trustee/fiduciary, real estate, contract, eminent domain, and personal injury.
