Crain Caton and James is pleased to announce that Anna Valkovich Kavanaugh joined the Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate Practice as a shareholder.  Anna’s practice concentrates in the areas of wealth transfer planning, trust formation, and probate law.  She also handles a wide variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and governance, and real estate.  Her corporate experience is valuable to clients as she guides them through the business succession planning process.  Anna is committed to preserving client’s wealth and ensuring that their wishes are meticulously documented and executed.  She has extensive experience in traditional estate planning as well as preparing more complicated plans for clients with complex estates.  Many of Anna’s clients are business owners and entrepreneurs.  In addition, she represents executors, trustees, and estate and trust beneficiaries.

Anna is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  She has also been recognized on the Rising Stars List by Texas Super Lawyers (Thomson-Reuters) since 2019.

Anna earned her Juris Doctor at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.  While in law school, she served as the Executive Editor of the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy, & the Law and as a Dean’s Fellow for the Legal Rhetoric Program.  Anna received her Bachelor of Arts from Rice University.
