Crain Caton & James is pleased to announce that J. Russel “Rusty” Umble has joined the Probate, Trust and Guardianship, Fiduciary Litigation and Commercial Litigation practice groups as an associate.

Rusty’s practice involves working with and counseling clients during probate administration, prosecuting and defending clients involved in fiduciary claims, and clients involved in general commercial litigation.  Rusty handles all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation, assessment of risks, filing lawsuits, discovery, taking depositions, and mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Clients appreciate his collaborative approach in handling disputes.  For most of Rusty’s clients, the litigation process is overwhelming and foreign.  He is always willing to guide clients through the process.

“Rusty represents his clients with profound passion.  He recognizes the disputes between individuals are personal and emotional.  Crain Caton & James is fortunate to hire an attorney with his knowledge of the law and his understanding of being human,” states Darlene Payne Smith, Shareholder in Fiduciary Litigation and Probate Trust and Guardianship.
